St Luke's Lottery FAQs
Here's our frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to enter?
Entry into the St Luke’s Hospice Lottery costs £1 per line, per weekly draw.
A £5 per month Direct Debit subscription ensures you are entered into every weekly draw and never miss a chance to win. Some months have four weekly draws and some have five, depending on how many Fridays fall within the month.
In months with four draws, any remaining pence from your £5 subscription that is not required for entry into a draw will be gratefully accepted as a donation to St Luke’s Hospice. These additional funds help support the vital care and support provided to local people and their families.
Can St Luke’s Hospice claim Gift Aid on lottery entries?
No, St Luke’s Hospice cannot claim Gift Aid on payments made for lottery entries, as these are considered payments to participate in a draw.
However, any amount paid above the cost of your lottery entry is treated as a donation. This includes any accumulated pence from months with only four weekly draws. If you are eligible and have completed a Gift Aid declaration, the Hospice may be able to claim Gift Aid on that donation element.
